Please read through these carefully before placing your order.

Orders placed on our website, www.thegermanshepherddog,co.uk will collect your contact information which you have provided, including name, address, telephone number and email address.  This is required to fulfil your order. Your details are NOT sold to other companies.

Making A Purchase: To make a purchase just browse our online store, or click on product links in any of our Dog Blogs/articles and any items that you would like to purchase you simply add to the shopping cart/basket.  Once you are happy with your selection of products in the cart/basket, click on ‘Checkout’ and you will be directed to enter a few details which are required for us to be able to complete your order.

(If you are shopping with us from outside the UK, an available option in the future , once you place your order your card company will convert the transaction amount into the correct currency.)

If you happen to make a mistake when placing your order and cannot correct it in the cart/basket, then please contact us and we will endeavour to correct the mistake.

When you receive confirmation of your order, this indicates that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us at this point.  When we send you an invoice this will then indicate acceptance of your order, and a contract between us.  This term has been included to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we inadvertently under-price goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the instance of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.

Shipping And Handling:  Our Postage and handling charges are automatically calculated.  Any custom orders are chargeable by an agreed rate which is specific to the dimensions and weight of the package/order.

Delivery of Goods: We aim to dispatch orders within 1 – 7  days from the receipt of payment. We aim to minimise the time it takes from ordering  goods to delivery, subject to the means of dispatch.  Often it is a much faster service, however, some items may be made to order and this can add a bit of time to delivery,

If the goods are lost or damaged in transit, you MUST inform us within ten (10) working days so that we can promptly make a claim against the delivery company and correct the problem. We ask you to please remember to quote your order number in all correspondence.

You agree that proof of delivery supplied by our delivery company is sufficient evidence to establish that goods ordered by you have been received.

Back Orders:  IF the item you order is not in stock, we may be able to back order it for you.  You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order and receive a full refund if you do not wish to wait any longer for your order.

Tax Charges: For those orders placed from within the UK or European Union, 20% VAT is added.

Credit Card Security: When an order is placed at www.thegermanshepherddog.co.uk , payment is made via PayPal’s secure encryption service.  Customers are directed via PayPal on how to enter details and also give customers the option to ‘Checkout as Guest’ or whether to ‘login’ to their PayPal account to complete the purchase.  We do not see or hold any payment details.

Guarantee:  All goods which are sold are subject to manufacturers guarantee.  Our liability in respect of any goods returned under a guarantee claim, shall be limited to the implementation of the guarantee by the manufacturer of those goods.

Returns Policy: Your individual rights to return goods, are protected under the EU Distance Selling Directive.

You are entitled to cancel and return your order of the goods within 21 working days for a full refund, including  the initial cost of postage.  To do this, you need to contact us by email and you need to quote the order number supplied to you.  You will be paid your refund within 30 days.

You, the customer, are responsible for the cost and risk of loss or damage when returning the goods ordered, so you should take out enough postal insurance to cover their value.  This cancellation policy does not affect your rights when we are at fault – for example, if the goods are faulty or mis-described.

The Returns Policy is as follows:

“We always want to make sure our customers are satisfied. We offer returns and exchanges for all items agreed faulty and unfit for their purpose that we are notified of within 14 days of delivery. Please ensure all items are returned unused and if possible in their original packaging.  Please measure your dogs neck in inches prior to ordering as we do not issue returns on none faulty items.”

Goods which are returned should be in a saleable condition and include ALL tags and labels  from the goods supplied.

These terms apply to your order.  We may change our Terms and Conditions at any time.  Please read them each time you visit our website as the Terms and Conditions may have changed.

None of these terms will affect your legal rights and these are not diminished in any way.  If any term is held to be invalid under any applicable statute or by any rule of law, that term is then automatically omitted from the terms to then minimise the extent necessary to then comply with the law and without affecting the validity or enforceability of the remainder.

Remittance Terms:  The prices quoted are in UK Sterling and payable in full. All goods remain in our ownership until accepted by the customer
